Fund Raising for the Ripley Village Hall

Why does Ripley need a new village hall?
Ripley Village Hall was opened in 1975 to serve the Ripley and Send Marsh communities. At that time it was estimated our hall would have a lifetime of 25 years. After 35 years of constant use, our much loved hall is coming to the end of its life. A survey completed in 2000 gave the hall an expected lifetime of 12-15 years before the whole building would need replacing.
All options have been thoroughly explored and the conclusion is to build Ripley a new village hall. With this in mind, Ripley Village Hall Re-development Committee is actively involved in raising funds to build our new hall.
The Committee is made up of members of our community who are committed to providing Ripley with a new village hall. They believe that a thriving hall forms a vital and important part of village life and is of great benefit to our local community. The Committee have been working hard on this project with Public Consultations, working on the design brief, researching the costs, appointing an architect, creating a project plan and a having a model made of the proposed new hall which is now on display in Ripley.
Plans have been drawn up for an aesthetically appealing and sympathetic building that is fit for our village community. The Committee has to date raised in excess of £300,000 towards its target of £1.25 million. This has been raised through local fundraising events, pledges, donations and a loan arranged by the Parish Council.
The Committee are determined to succeed with this difficult fundraising task. With your help our new hall can become a reality and will take its place in the heart of our community providing all the benefits of the old hall and more, for generations to come. Please contact us if you would like to know more about the project, get involved or make a donation.
Donations are gratefully accepted towards the New Ripley Village Hall.
